1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the website remember your preferences and provide essential functionality.

2. Cookies We Use

FIRVO uses a minimal number of cookies. We divide them into two categories:

  • Essential — required for the Platform to function (authentication, language, cookie choice). Always active.
  • Analytics — help us understand how users interact with the Platform (PostHog, Microsoft Clarity). Set ONLY after your consent.

We do not use any advertising cookies.

4. Third-Party Cookies

After consenting to analytics cookies, FIRVO uses the following third-party services:

  • PostHog (EU hosted) — platform usage analytics. Configured with persistence: "memory" — does not set cookies, data is stored only in browser memory and cleared when the tab is closed.
  • Microsoft Clarity — session recordings and heatmaps. Sets cookies _clck, _clsk, MUID. Governed by Microsoft's Privacy Policy.

We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any advertising services.

When you make a payment, Stripe's payment form (loaded in a secure iframe) may set its own cookies as required for fraud prevention. These are governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.

5. Cookie Consent Banner

On your first visit, we display a cookie consent banner. You can choose:

  • "Necessary only" — only cookies required for the site to function are enabled (authentication, language, cookie choice). No analytics tools are loaded.
  • "Accept all" — analytics cookies are additionally enabled (PostHog and Microsoft Clarity) to help us improve the Platform.

Your choice is stored in the firvo-consent cookie for 1 year. You can change your decision at any time by clearing your browser cookies.

6. How to Manage Cookies

You can control cookies through your browser settings:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions

Please note that blocking the authentication cookie will prevent you from logging in.

7. Changes to This Policy

If we introduce new types of cookies (e.g., analytics), we will update this policy and implement a cookie consent mechanism before doing so.
